ANDROID VERSION IS CALLED NEXT KITKAT

Sundar Pichai, the head of Android development, has announced that the next edition of Google's mobile platform has a name. Android 4.4 KitKat.

A funny name considering that KitKat is a trademark of those famous chocolates produced by Nestle, with which we assume have reached an agreement for the use of that name. In fact, there is a direct link to more information about Kit Kat chocolate bars of that manufacturer, which give rise to think of a possible trade agreement.

Pichai told how on his return from a tour of Asia he found a new sculpture with a giant Android mascot built in the shape of KitKat bars that famous sweet. That name, by the way, is indicated by the registered trademark symbol ® in statements that have begun to be from Google.

Almost seem a joke, but this fact has been confirmed in the official Android page with the path of the versions, in which mention is made of other editions and Android KitKat which already has its own website.

In the message of this version appears a curious fact: "It is our goal to make Android KitKat amazing Android experience available to everyone". Also mentions another important detail: there are more than 1,000 million Android devices activated around the world, when in May 2013 was discussed (at Google I / O) that number was 900 million.

Is this a sign of a more prepared version of Android devices more modest hardware resources, aimed at emerging markets? We look to find out
